जेव्हा पुस्तकं बोलू लागतात...!

पुस्तकाच्या मुखपृष्ठावर पुस्तकांच्या उंच भिंतीवर बसलेला एक माणूस दिसतोय. त्याच्या उंचीला आधार त्याने वाचलेल्या पुस्तकांचा आहे. भविष्यात मला माझं असं एक चित्र काढून घ्यायला नक्कीच आवडेल!  " लेखक म्हणजे भानात येणं. लेखक होणं म्हणजे केवळ भाषा कमावणं नाही. लेखक म्हणजे पर्सनल ओळखीपाळखी वाढवणं नाही. लेखक म्हणजे सुहास्य वदनानं साहित्य क्षेत्रातल्या ज्येष्ठांना वंदन करणं नाही. लेखक होणं म्हणजे भोळ्या भाबड्या वाचकांमध्ये मिरवणं तर अजिबातच नाही..." मग लेखक म्हणजे काय ते सांगतायत स्वतः एक लेखक!  लेखकाची गोष्ट:  अ सर्व्हायवल गाईड फॉर मराठी रायटर्स  या नावातच अशी काही जादू आहे, की कुठलाही क्युरियस वाचक हे नक्की हातात घेईल. पुस्तकाच्या नावाचं आणि मुखपृष्ठाचं महत्त्व पटवून देईल, असं हे पुस्तक. लेखक विश्राम गुप्ते वाचकांच्या कोर्टात एक लेखक म्हणून आपली बाजू मांडायची रीतसर परमिशन घेतात. या कोर्टातले जज म्हणजे सगळे वाचक, म्हणून त्यांना युवर ऑनर असं संबोधून सुरु होतं हे एक हटके अपील!  फर्स्ट ऑफ ऑल, मला या पुस्तकाच्या टायटलबद्दल थोडं सांगावंसं वाटतं. विश्राम गुप्ते चरित...

एका खेळियाने कितीदा आपुले जाळे विणीयेले उंच जागी !  दिलीप प्रभावळकर यांचं एका खेळियाने वाचतेय. असे अगदीच हाताच्या बोटावर मोजण्याइतके नट आहेत, की ज्यांच्याबद्दल तुम्हाला निखळ कौतुक आणि अभिमान वाटतो. त्या नटाने केलेल्या त्या भूमिकेत तुम्ही अन्य कोणाला imagine करूच शकत नाही. या लोकांकडे स्वतःचा कसदार, मेहनतीने अंगात मुरवलेला अभिनय असतो. 2 मिनिट्स instant magggi सारख्या झटपट acting च्या आणि actors च्या गर्दीत ही अशी मंडळी विरळच. त्यातले दिलीप प्रभावळकर. खूप सहज, मनमोकळेपणाने त्यांनी आपले अनुभव सांगितले आहेत. शिवाय ते एक अभिनेते आहेत, याची त्यांनाही पूर्ण जाणीव असल्याने आपली अभिनयाची कारकीर्द डोळ्यापुढे ठेवून त्यांनी हे अनुभव documented केले आहेत. घरातली एखादी आदरणीय बुजुर्ग व्यक्ती जशा सुरुवातीपासूनच्या आठवणी सांगते, तसा फील वाचताना येतो.  प्रत्येक वेळी नवी भूमिका  नवं आव्हान म्हणून त्यांनी स्वीकारली. त्यांच्या कितीतरी भूमिका प्रचंड लोकप्रिय अक्षरशः cult level पर्यंत पोहोचल्या तरी जात्यावर पीठ  काढल्यासारखं त्या भूमिकेने दिलेल्या लोकप्रियतेचं पीठ काढून ती enc...

Take a dive in the Literature Ocean, you will find many precious gems waiting for you!  I am very proud of one specific reading habit that I have, is whenever I come across any new book title or author while reading, I immediately search for it and give it a try. This is my way of widening my reading circle. In one beautiful Marathi book I read just yesterday, I read about this novella- Jonathan Livingston Seagull by Richard Bach, published in 1970, written in three parts, with beautiful illustrations.  Richard Bach is an American author who served in the United States Navy and the New Jersey Air National Guards fighter wing. That is a reason why flying is a constant theme in his writing. His books are mainly autobiographies inspired from his life events. The protagonist of this novella is a seagull - Jonathan Livingston Seagull. He lives with his flock, tries to obey all rules, yet he is distinct from his flock because his wants to fly higher.
